Something you look forward to every day:Wakingup in the morning, going up the stairs to thesmilingface of my Mom and giving her a big, warm, hug. (somethingI have missed doing for the past month, being across the country and all.)
1) What are your thoughts on modesty? When a woman is trying to flaunt her body, such as wearing a shirt that shows off her midriff, wearing ridiculously short skirts, so on and so forth, is going too far. We don't need to be seeing your belly button to talk with you.
2) Some of us feel that we either give too much effort, or not enough, in worrying about the way we dress. What is your suggestion to how you wish girls would dress? What do you like to see girls wearing? I think it is up to the particular person in terms of whattypeof clothing they wear. If she prefers jeans, dresses, or skirts is up to her, just as she is not intending to be provocative. I, personally, like jeans.
4) A lot of girls worry about looking chic around guys?but what do you consider pretty? I consider someone just beingthemself, not trying to dress/act to please the men around them.
5) Do guys ever notice changes in girls? Hair styles, clothes, etc.?Definitely! A haircut is one of the more noticeable thing's, for me at least.
6) What is something that you want/look for, the most, in your future wife? I would firstly, want her to love, honor, andcherish, and seek afterthe Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly, I would want her to have a good sense ofhumor! I would also want her to love me, for who I am. And I think, as I get older, God will reveal more to me what I need to be looking for in a wife, as I am only 16.
7) Do you often feel peer pressure from your friends? In any way, but mostly in the standards that you have set for your life. Oh yeah, I think peer pressure is a good thing at times. It?s really has helped me to shape up when I needed to. But if a friend is trying to change you with their word/action's to just fit what they want, I can?t stand it.
8) What do you consider flirting and what do you think of a girl when she flirts with you? I think sometimes guys take too many things as flirting. When a girl isflamboyant, she is notalwaysflirting with you (they'redefinitelyare exceptions....), she just enjoys life. And as for what I think of when a girl flirt's with me, it is hard to say. If she is being obvious about it, I can get a bit annoyed, maybe confront her on why she is doing what she is doing.
9) How do you feel about dating? I think it is a bit of a messed-up system, going from partner to partner until you THINK you like the right one. Now ? done the right way: where you are serious about the date you are on, and not just on itbecauseyour friend told you the girl is hot, I think God can use it to bringpeopletogether. I know he did my parents.
10) If you agree w/ courting, how much involvement from YOUR parents do you believe is appropriate in helping you make a final choice in your future wife? None, some, or a lot? Please elaborate on your answer. I personally want my Dad and Mom to be involved in all of it. As I am young and foolish, I want to have someone who is older, and wiser than I am, around to guide me to do what is right.
11) When you?re interested in a girl, do you focus on her family too? Do you make it a point to get to know them as much as you want to get to know her? The Father and Mother raised her, the sisters and brothers know her every aspect. It would be to my advantage to get to know them, as best I can.
12) What is your view on college for girls? If she wants to go to college, more power to her! If God has blessed her with the knowledge for a higher education, I see no reason why not.
13) What is your dream job? And why? Hmm, my dream job, wow. I?d have to say something in thetechnical field. God has given me a real enjoyment of all things to do with computers.
14) What do you think the man?s role is in the home ? compared to the woman?s? The man is there to lead his family in the word of God, to love his wife with all of his heart, and to teach his children in the way they should go. The women is there to love, support, and respect her husband, and if need b,e pick him up when he is down. The mother is also the cornerstone of the children's life. She is the one who spends the most time in their lives. And from what I have seen, she is the one who is constantly working towards the future for them.
15) How many kids would you like to have? As many as God blesses me with. 4-6 sounds about right.
16) A lot of guys like using sarcasm around girls?do you know why that is? That is a hard one. I personally use sarcasm with everyone (noticing this over the past few months.) But i would guess they are either trying to impress them, or they feel awkward around them.
18) Is there anything that you would appreciate girls doing differently in order to help you maintain your purity? Probably not wearing clothing that reveals a large portion of their body.
19) What do you think about guys and girls hugging? As long as it is just as friends, and not romantic in any way, it is fine.
20) When do you plan to have your first kiss? On my wedding day, as soon as the pastor say's... "You may kiss the bride". I will kiss her exactly as he says those words! (or whatever variation of that phrase he uses.)
21) How will you respond if God's plan is out of sync with your own? I know for a fact, that my plans are going to change according to God's will. Heck, I?ve already had my "plan's" changed many time's. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a]have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28.
22) What do you think of girls posting pictures of guys on their blog? As long as it is not meant to start a sexual discussion about that guy, i see no problem with it.
23) Do you guys sometimes get weirded out by being friends with girls? Nope.
24) What is one thing that girls do that you hate? When they try too much to please the men around them, just be yourself, when the time comes, God will bring the one for you.
25) To what degree should a guy and girl just 'be friends'? Well if they are below the age of 18,friendshipis the only thing that should go on between a guy and a girl. And over that age, when you feel you are being led to the one for you, talk totheirMom and Dad.
Thank you so much for doing this interview for us, Jon! God bless you!
