Did Joss Whedon Film a Secret Shakespeare Adaptation?

When Joss Whedon isn't busy shooting 'The Avengers' on an iPhone, he's apparently getting some friends together to film secret movies. At least that's what appears to have happened, following a tweet on Sunday night from frequent Whedon collaborator Nathan Fillion which directed his followers to a website heralding Joss Whedon's 'Much Ado About Nothing,' "based on a play." Like the Shakespeare play? Let's run with that!

Little to nothing is known about the project, beyond what's offered on the site. "Bellwether Pictures is proud to announce the completion of principal photography," it offers, before running down the cast list: Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Reed Diamond, Ashley Johnson, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Tom Lenk and Fran Kranz among others. Pictured below that is apparently Kranz ('Dollhouse') wearing a scuba mask and holding a martini glass. Obviously.

Whether 'Much Ado About Nothing' is a feature length film (probably not!) or a short like 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog' (probably!) remains to be seen. Obviously, geeks around the Internet will be waiting with baited breath to find out.
